G reetings & salutations from the bowels of the Austin garage rock underworld!! You have entered the digital den of GHOULS IN THE BASEMENT — please SIGN OUR GUESTBOOK, browse our show dates, and listen to our brand new originals. 🦇 🦇 🦇
Ghouls found each other on the Austin open mic scene, bumping into one another for months, until Alex decided to make a sick band and rope them all into it. As the project evolved, one song at a time, the Ghoulish sound-scape turned into an eclectic and rock-oriented mix of originals and covers, with a mostly 60s garage rock feel. It's not an exaggeration to say that when they're playing fast and loose, when the juices are really flowing, they'll remind you of a time when bands stalked the earth and ruled the air waves.

[ LIVE @ THE BASEMENT · UNDATED ]
Alex Todor
[ VOCALS ]
Not your average Florida Man, he goes through life with a strange mix of 1950s pretty-boy charm, soviet belligerence, and a zest for combat sports both virtual and physical. Perhaps the most ghoulish of all, he brings a sort of "reanimated Elvis, combined with many other decomposing artists" vibe to the function.
|
Wyeth Miller
[ BASS ]
What a bad boy. Does his bass remind you of… Bad Brains? Just as infamous for an Irish goodbye as he is for losing things, he's a lovable rascal who's always up to something. After his signature exit you can usually find him listening to 80s music, playing pool, or cheering for the Rangers.
|
Gentleman William Kelley
[ GUITAR ]
In 2005 you may have seen him playing with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Percy Sledge, and now you can catch him around town with Ghouls, as a solo act, or with Two Dogs. He's got a thousand crazy stories, as well as guitar chops that make local whippersnappers go weak in the knees and slack in the jaw.
|
Cameron "Troy Peoples" Arnold
[ DRUMS ]
Came up to Austin from the sea-side paradise of Corpus Christi. Now he drums for something like ten bands, and prays to a home-made statue of Neil Peart every night before bed, all in a quest for percussive god-hood. But more importantly, will he ever beat Wyeth in a game of chess?
